The terms that govern your use of Five-Fold Forward — your account, acceptable use, and what you can expect from us.
These terms are an agreement between you and Five Fold Forward, Inc. ("Five Fold Forward", "we", "us" or "our"), and they govern your use of the Five Fold Forward website, assessments, community, courses, and related services.
By creating an account or using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the knowledge and involvement of a parent, guardian or church leader.
You may not use the service if we have previously removed your account, unless we have agreed in writing that you may return.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity that takes place under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has gained access to it.
Give us accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings.
The assessment is a reflective tool intended to help you consider how you are gifted and how you might serve. It is offered in good faith and free of charge.
It is not a psychological, psychometric, medical, diagnostic or clinical instrument, and it is not a substitute for pastoral care, professional counselling, medical advice, legal advice or any other professional judgement. Results should not be relied on to make employment, financial, health or other significant decisions.
Scoring models and recommendation content may be revised over time. If they are, your saved answers may be re-scored and your displayed results may change.
Use the service lawfully and treat other members with respect. In particular, do not: post unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, obscene or deliberately misleading content; impersonate anyone; publish another person's private information; solicit or spam; upload malicious code; attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to reach; probe or interfere with the security or integrity of the service; scrape or harvest content or member information by automated means; or use the service to promote anything unrelated to its purpose.
We may remove content, suspend access, or close an account that breaches these terms or that puts other members at risk.
The community is moderated. Content may be reported by members and reviewed by moderators or administrators.
Where content is removed, it may be retained for a limited period so that a decision can be reviewed fairly. Our Privacy Policy explains that retention period.
Repeated or serious breaches may lead to a temporary suspension of community access, permanent removal of community access while other content remains available to you, or closure of your account. Where a decision is escalated it is reviewed by an administrator.
You keep ownership of what you post. You are responsible for it, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the service. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies retained for the limited moderation period described above or where we must keep them by law.
Do not post anything you are not comfortable being visible to other members of the community.
The site, its design, text, graphics and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Assessment questions and related materials are used with the permission of their owner.
You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, and for ministry use within your church or group. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.
Where donations are enabled, they are voluntary and are processed by a third-party payment provider under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full card details.
A donation is a gift, not a purchase, and it does not buy access to any part of the service — the assessment and the platform are free.
Donations are generally final unless a payment was made in error, was unauthorised, or must be refunded by law. If you believe a donation should be refunded, contact us promptly through the website so the request can be reviewed with the payment processor.
We do not provide tax advice. Unless we expressly issue a tax receipt stating otherwise, you should not assume that a donation is tax-deductible. Please consult your own tax adviser about the treatment of any donation.
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we will give reasonable notice where a change materially reduces what you receive.
We may update these terms. Where a change is material we will give notice in the service before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that point means you accept the updated terms.
Except as expressly stated in these terms, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we exclude all warranties, conditions and representations that are not expressly set out here, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
We do not warrant that the assessment will produce any particular outcome, or that content on the service is accurate, complete or suitable for your circumstances.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us directly for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) 100 US dollars. Because the assessment and member platform are offered free of charge, this limitation reflects the nature of the service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from content you post or from your breach of these terms or of the law, except to the extent the claim arises from our own act or omission.
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms, if it is necessary to protect other members or the service, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licence terms relating to retained copies, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity — continue to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer-protection laws in your place of residence require a different result.
The state and federal courts located in Michigan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the service, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim somewhere else.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter directly.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or transfer of the service, without reducing your rights.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about the service.
Questions about these terms, and formal notices, can be sent through the contact form on this website.
If a law or court rule requires a postal address or another method for a particular notice, contact us through the website and we will provide the appropriate address or method for that notice.
